Fantastic Pablo Fanque!

Fantastic Pablo Fanque! is a new theatre piece by Ashton Owen (Creator) and Natalya Martin (Director).

“A new family show about Britain’s first recorded Black Circus owner, Norwich-born Pablo Fanque.”

I was asked to join in the rehearsal room at Norwich Theatre Royal to document the final stages of their rehearsals, followed by a sharing session with funders and industry supporters.

They had clearly created a joyful, warm space for their whole team over the two weeks, and it was great to capture you in action. I have had some of the songs stuck in my head ever since and certainly struggled to keep my gigle to myself whilst I was recording!. I can’t wait to see the show when it is touring in the future.
